
Tracy Grimshaw is an Australian journalist and television host who was born on June 3, 1960. She co-hosted Today from 1996 to 2005 and hosted A Current Affair from 2006 until 2022.
In 1981, Grimshaw joined Nine News in Melbourne as a reporter, launching her professional career. She started delivering newscasts in 1985 and was named Nine Morning News' presenter in 1987.
Grimshaw covered international news for the Nine Network in the early 1990s. He also contributed to A Current Affair and served as the program's host for the summertime non-ratings period.
Grimshaw joined David Reyne as co-host of The Midday Show in 1995. The year after, she hosted Animal Hospital and Today on Saturday.
Grimshaw was chosen to co-host Today alongside Steve Liebmann in November 1996. She served in this capacity for nine years.On December 23, 2005, she stepped down as Today's co-host and was succeeded by Jessica Rowe.
Grimshaw portrayed Katie Current, a news reporter, in the 2005 Australian film and DVD adaptation of Shark Tale (the original lines were provided by American journalist Katie Couric).
Ray Martin was replaced as host of A Current Affair on January 30, 2006, by Grimshaw. In a special two-hour presentation titled The Great Escape, she conducted interviews with Todd Russell and Brant Webb, two survivors of the Beaconsfield Mine disaster, in May 2006. In 2018, Grimshaw was a Gold Logie nominee. Grimshaw stated on September 5, 2022, that she would leave her 17-year post as host of A Current Affair on November 24, 2022.
